The Miri-Sibuti Coral Reefs National Park is a protected area of coral reefs in Miri Division, Sarawak, Malaysia, off the
island of Borneo. The park is a popular dive destination. The Miri-Sibuti Coral Reefs National Park lay at depths ranging
from 7 to 50 metres (23 to 164 ft) at the seaward edge, with an average visibility of 10 to 30 metres (33 to 98 ft). The park is a
great dive spot as there are over 30 untouched coral reefs with more than 40 dive sites. The sites range from
comfortable environments to accommodate new divers to deeper dives for those who enjoy untouched areas. The best
time to dive is from March through November. March / April is also the time to expect Whale Sharks and possibly Mantas.
Popular diving sites include Eve’s Garden, Sunday Reef, Siwa Reef, Batu Belais, Santak Point, Tukau Drop Off, Nemo City,
Kenyalang Wreck, Barracuda Point, Anemone Garden, Seafan Garden, Grouper Patch Reef, Atago Maru Wreck, Sri Gadong
Reef and Tusan Reef. There are also some wrecks to explore. It is one of Malaysia’s more recently discovered diving locations
and the largest offshore national park in of Sarawak.
The reefs house a plethora of marine creatures including soft corals like leather corals, sea whips, Bubble corals,
staghorn corals, Dendronephthya and Gorgonia sea fans, as well as sponges including elephant ear sponges. Fish species
include clownfish, yellow and blueback fusiliers, angelfish, butterfly fish, sea perch, lizardfish, batfish, jackfish, barracudas,
Napoleon wrasse and sharks. Other creatures include feather stars, giant clams, nudibranchs, anemones and sea horses.
TOUR PROGRAM
Depart Time: 8 am
At 8 am depart from the serene Miri Marina where the custom-built diving purpose boats take you on your dive adventure.
Once on board, expect to be briefed on the daily adventures. The dive sites are chosen in detail to ensure an enjoyable experience.
In between dives, local treats along with plenty of soft drinks and water will be served during rest. At 2-3 pm when the dives are
completed for the day, you will be treated with a complimentary lunch along with the opportunity to log dives.
